Hong Kong is the best BBQ spot in the south China sea, including lots of hills, jungles, hiking areas, sea beaches, and more for arranging BBQ, organizing a picnic with family and friends – one of the best socializing activities on earth is Hong Kong.
Out of hundreds of others with the same quality and even better facilities places, I have just named a few listed below, in which I, my family, and my friends have spent and did lots of outdoors using those facilities.

Butterfly Beach Tuen Mun:
Open sea beach area located in New Territory- Tuen Mun – BBQ facility available with cemented pits. Hundreds of people can sit and enjoy outdoor activities simultaneously, roasting meats and enjoying their drinks beside the beautiful butterfly beach. Water, toilet, and bath facilities are available as usual in other rated beaches in HK
This is the Hong Kong beach that I saw for the first time when I landed in Hong Kong 27 years back. Lovely seaside is the everyday routine where I walk 2-3 times a day with a cane of beer while struggling to find a job in my dream city. I also want to remember Bala Ji, Hari Ji, Subedi Ji, Mandal Ji, and more while writing this Blog. Short remember, but what’s a life span so quick the city making me adult to about the age of senior citizen.

Tai Mo Shan BBQ area:
Tai Mo Shan is one of Hong Kong’s #1 highest peaks in Hong Kong. Out of hiking Tai Mo Shan is a good place for long and short hikes, dry picnics, etc. I have already written a blog about this topic; please read it if you want more information about this iconic landscape.
People are practicing racing bikes in a group; they drive at very high speeds with loud sounds- some look like rough-type driving as well; it could be dangerous if you are not experiencing these hilly, narrow areas and trying to drive for the first time.
My car driving practice started in Tai Mo Shan as soon as I got my driving license from the Transport Department. Madan Ji, who help me. I want to remember him this time probably; he is in Nepal this time and thinking of coming to Hong Kong via Nepal Airlines ( from Tribhuvan International Airport)
Gold Coast Hong Kong:
Gold coast is a popular place and one of the most attractive tourist attractions in Hong Kong.
Golden Beach is suitable for swimming during the summer. Also available is an excellent cemented permanent BBQ pitch with water, a toilet, and bath facilities. Many restaurants are open in the Gold Coast plaza area. Meter parking can give more flexibility for the car or taxi drivers for the accessible parking facility of nominal cost.
We have lived in Tin Shui wai, Central Park near Tin Shui Wai Park, and +Woo plaza for the last eight years. Golden beach is one of the nearest famous beaches and restaurant locations we used to go to every week for fun, and time passed until I sold my SUV. After that, also we continue, but frequently cut off 50% and use Uber or Taxi for quick reach.
Monkey Hill Hong Kong:
Personally, I love monkey hill because long back around 20+ years back initial stage of life in Hong Kong I, with my many other friends, went to Monkey hill several times, especially for large group picnics and barbeques chose the location because of the expansive space.
KMB bus 81 goes from TST, Nathan Road, to Monkey hill; because of the hilly area the MTR facilities are not available, even though limited public bus frequency is available during the day and night.
Tai Tong BBQ spot:
Tai Tong BBQ is a larger size for a large group, suitable for family Hiking, like a Tai Tong Nature Trail. Lots of space roadside for the carpark; usually holiday significantly less checking. Take an MTR to Long Ping Station, and take K66 off the second last stop to go to the TaiTong BBQ venue; else, you can take a taxi or private car as well
Some of the precautions.
- A large number of monkeys are around this location so sometimes they can pull if you have any food or stuff with you.
- BBQ Location is more jungle area with no houses and other residential communities so your own safety is highly recommended if you chose hiking or to move around the site.
