The Central Mid Level escalator and walkway system in Hong Kong is the world’s Largest outdoor covered escalator to date. It covers about 800 meters, and the elevation is 135 meters height measure from the bottom to the top.

Downhill 6-10 am
Uphill: 10 am-midnight
In the morning, people at the mid-level height will come down for—business, work, etc. Therefore, the escalator opens downhill; people come faster down; similarly, after 10 am, it starts uphill.

The escalator connects with bridges, steps in various roads, streets, and shopping malls. About 10-20 minutes walk there are many other attractions for Hong Kong’s ng Visitors like Soho, Western Market Central, Macau Ferry Terminal, Central and Sheung Wan Promenade, Lan Kwai Fong, Central Ferry Terminal, IFC Towers, etc.

In summary, I have been enjoying the Mid-level, Central taste a lot because I have been here a long time now. When I went up the Mid-level escalator for the first time, I was stunned to see such beautiful bars and restaurants. After that, I spent a couple of weekends there.
