The Hindu temple at the Burma line, also called Queen’s Hill Camp is in Fanling. The Temple was built in 1960 by the British for the Gurkha soldiers when the British were in Hong Kong.

Where exactly is the Hindu temple Burmaline located?
Burma Line Temple is located just side of the Queens hill public housing, which is under Government land and currently unused. Earlier, this land had been used by the Gurkha soldiers for various activities.
We saw the Government signboard written as below.
“Government Land”

A group of four friends went together in a private car to find the location. The main gate was closed beside Po Kak Tsai Lau Shui Heung public toilet, but we found another way to reach there closer to the main entrance.
During the time, we asked the way to many Chinese people around there. By the way, I asked for directions to couples who were retired. They also learned about this Temple in the Facebook group; we went uphill together to the Hindu Temple Burma line.
Pathway to reach the Temple.
There is no proper path to reach there, so it’s a small one just passing an area. There are lots of plants and trees beside the way. We move forward during that time; it was lightly raining, and the feeling was excellent because we are going to Temple; after 20 to 30-minutes of searching, we enter the temple area we found it, and it’s a beautiful temple.

The Hindu temple Burma line main temple building design is lovely. It is like lotus style hexagonal design, British-made for Gorkhas. It was not used for a long time, so this is not properly clean. Personally, everyone aligns with our culture. Likewise, when we saw this Temple, we felt light and fresh. We are filled with God’s light and blessed.
Who are Gorkhas?
Gorkhas are the Soldiers who stay in Hong Kong during British rule. “Gorkha” Name is itself a popular who are called “BIR GORKHALI” which means Brave Gorkha people.
