Hong Kong Tramways

Hong Kong double Decker tram is one of the oldest public transport. Started its operation in 1904 while it was under the British colony.

The Hong Kong tram tracks are on the road, sharing the same road that other vehicles are running;  no separate rail tracks for boundary wall protection for Tram. Because of the good traffic system in Hong Kong, separate nature transport systems under the same road.

Inside the mini rail seats made of wood, recently some of them have installed an LCD screen showing next-stop information in Chinese and English language. The entry barrier earlier was a manual type which has been replaced by a sensor controller entry for the new units. All Hong Kong tramways operate by electricity, which is pollution-free and environment friendly.

Currently, 120 Hong Kong Tram stops and 165 vehicles are available, and the total length is 13 Km. The double Decker tram, which is convenient, affordable, and environmentally friendly only operates in Hong Kong Island.

Note: Tram services are only available on the Hong Kong side only.
