How to Get to Long Mei Beach?
The best way to reach there is to get to Tai Po conveniently, i.e., MTR, bus, or Taxi. Tai Mei Tuk public transport takes public bus number 75K, 275R ( service available for Sundays and public holiday). Alternatively, take a green minibus 20C from Tai Po Market and get off at Lo Tsx Tin stop; from there, it takes just a few minutes to reach the beach.
What is the address of Lung Mei Beach, and what are its surroundings?
The address is 168 Yin Kok Road, Tai Po. You can add this to the Google map and find the exact location, distance from your area, transportation available from your points, etc.
Tuck shop:
Small shops are available, and you can buy snacks, soft drinks, and other kinds of drinks, kids’ play stuff, camping tents available for rent. It is available at the observation deck.
Bars and other restaurants:
Once you cross the road, you can see many bars, restaurants, BBQs, and more to see. We went there in the sweltering summer with temperatures around 34°+. We took three cars to accommodate four families. We are going there planning to grab lunch, and dinner and drink beer and wine.
BBQ area
Now, we are looking for a more expansive space for a picnic, and we found this BBQ area that is perfect for us. When you go straight ahead, making a beach on the right side in less than a minute’s drive, you can see public meter parking on the right side. A bit crowded, and many drivers were looking at the space, we were more fortunate about the one-hour time we all found the parking space for all three cars.
We headed to the waterside area; after a 5 5-minute walk, we saw Bradbury Jockey Club Youth Hostel. We took the right side path. After a one-minute walk, there was a toilet on the right side, and there was ample space for BBQ. We chose that space for four family gatherings. We spent 5-6 hours there eating, drinking, and talking. All empty BBQ pits ( Due to COVID-19 still under closed status) We were 15 persons, including kids.
