Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery, located in Satin New Territory, is a popular tourist destination in Hong Kong regarding its popularity. It started an operation in 1957. The journey begins from the ground to the top of both sides of the steps. There are many golden buddhas, an exciting journey, and a big attraction of the monastery.
Especially for the people from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Nepal, and other countries who are more influence by the Budish’s teachings, them visiting this Monastery is one of the must-see priority list.

How to reach Thousand Budda?
The best way to reach there is by MTR, take Mass Transit Rail, and exit at Sha Tin MTR.
If you are a tourist, suggest taking either MTR or take a Taxi (if you are nearby). The double-decker bus and the minibus are a bit confusing for the newbies for the city. I don’t recommend unless otherwise, you take a bus that could go to the last stop; that way, you can off from the bus and climbing up a thousand Budda’s steps.
Monastery detail:
Estimated around 13,000 buddhas statues with different shapes and sizes. There are 5 temples, 4 pavilions, one pagoda; the monastery covered two hills, mostly bamboo. You have to walk from step 1 to 431 steps to reach the top. All these steps are hard, concrete steps.
Showcase display Budda:
At the main temple, many small size Buddha statues, placed in a display rack structure. In all the Buddha statues, the mouth expression is entirely different, and the physical pose of the body is also not the same.
It’s tough to make many such statues to make all different in the physical structure one way to another. Big thanks to the creator who did such magnificent work to make this place an attractive tourist venue.
Pagoda
A nine-story pagoda is laid at the end side of the main temple; visitors can go up by climbing a spiral-type step inside the pagoda. From the top of it, you can see a prominent view of the surrounding. The beauty of this place is, find tons of statue making this place beautiful.
